Full camera frame and internal view
The original session recording contains the camera’s full field of view, including anything visible around the pool.
SwimInSight’s algorithms exclude all pixels outside the calibrated region of interest:
Live processing and stored session data
Live tracking runs on the computer running SwimInSight. Completed sessions are uploaded to the cloud after tracking ends. On the cloud dashboard, results and replays can be processed, stored, and reviewed through the team workspace.
A completed session includes video, timing and result data, roster information, lane assignments, session plans, departure intervals, and operational information needed to process or troubleshoot the session.
To preserve storage space, video files are automatically deleted from the computer after the session has been safely uploaded to the cloud. A lightweight local session record may remain for session-history purposes.
Identity and access
Coaches and team administrators identify swimmers through lane assignments and swimmer order within each lane. SwimInSight tracks movement during a session, and does not use facial recognition or physical appearance to identify swimmers within or across sessions.
When recorded session video is used internally to improve SwimInSight’s algorithms, swimmer names and other direct roster identifiers are replaced with generic labels such as “Swimmer 01” and “Swimmer 02.”
Authorized SwimInSight personnel may need to access original session video and associated roster information for troubleshooting or customer support. This may include swimmer names and lane assignments.
Only members of the customer’s organization may access its results and replays. Members may include coaches, swimmers, and parents.
Retention and deletion
Original session video is retained in the cloud for up to 30 days. Session results, derived data, and generated replays may be retained indefinitely.
Customers may request deletion of video, swimmer information, or session data by contacting hi@swiminsight.io.
Teams, facilities, and accounts
The team or organization using SwimInSight is responsible for obtaining permission to record at its facility and providing appropriate notice to swimmers and, where applicable, their parents or guardians.
SwimInSight plans to introduce individual swimmer accounts. A swimmer under 18 will be required to have an associated parent or guardian account.
